Pakistani 1121 Basmati Rice Supplier Qatar: Raw and Steam Grades
Longer Than Super Kernel, More Aromatic Than Golden Sella
1121 basmati rice is the longest grain basmati in commercial production, and the grade your customer asks for by name. TEFT Global supplies it Pakistani-grown, in the two grades that are not parboiled: 1121 raw and 1121 steam. In Qatar, we deliver from our own warehouse in Al Wakra, in riyals, with nothing for you to clear. Outside Qatar, we deliver to your port with the freight paid, or to your door in the countries where we hold our own clearance. Bags from 1kg to 50kg, plain or printed in your own brand.

1121 Raw and 1121 Steam, Milled in Pakistan
TEFT Global buys 1121 basmati rice direct from milling groups across Punjab and in Karachi, holds it in stock in Qatar and ships it by the container to buyers across the Gulf, Europe and North America. We are not an introduction service. We buy the rice, we own it, we ship it.
What Is 1121 Basmati Rice?
The Longest Grain Basmati Grown, and What the Length Buys You
The Two Grades of 1121 Basmati Rice on This Page
1121 Raw and 1121 Steam, and How to Tell Which One You Need
1121 basmati rice reaches you in one of four forms, and what separates them is entirely what the mill did to the paddy before the husk came off. Two of them are here. The other two are parboiled and have a page of their own.

1121 Raw Basmati Rice
Raw means nothing has been done to the grain beyond milling and polishing. No steaming, no parboiling. It carries the most aroma of any 1121 grade, the cleanest pearl-white colour and the shortest cooking time, and it is what retail shelves and own-brand programmes are built on. It is also the softest of the four, so it wants a cook watching the pot.

1121 Steam Basmati Rice
Steam means the paddy is steamed before milling. That firms the grain and holds the aroma in without touching the white colour, so it cooks fluffy and separate and forgives a busier kitchen than raw does. It is the everyday grade right across Gulf hospitality, and in Saudi Arabia it is the grade sitting directly behind golden sella on volume.

1121 Golden Sella Basmati Rice (Parboiled)
The same 1121 grain, parboiled: soaked and steamed under pressure with the husk still on before milling. That part-cooks it, hardens it and turns it amber. It survives bulk cooking and long holding far better than raw or steam does.

1121 White Sella Basmati Rice (Parboiled)
Also sold as creamy sella. Parboiled in exactly the same way as golden sella but with a shorter steam, so the 1121 grain hardens the same and stays pale rather than turning amber. Brown sella is made to order, and all three share one page.
Not sure which of the four fits? Tell us how the rice will be cooked and how long it sits before it is served, and we will tell you which grade to take, and send samples of two so you can compare before you commit.
1121 Basmati Rice Specification
The Standard Figures, and the Test Sheet That Comes With Every Batch
These are the figures 1121 basmati rice is normally bought and sold against. Every batch we ship also carries its own test sheet from the mill laboratory, showing what your rice actually measured rather than what the trade standard says. If you need tighter figures than these, tell us before you order and we will say whether the mills can hit them.

Two figures on the 1121 basmati rice table are worth a word. The first is the length. Plenty of suppliers quote 8.5mm and higher. We publish 8.30mm as the minimum because that is the figure a mill will certify on a test sheet, and a length nobody will certify is a dispute waiting to happen once the container has landed. Most of what we ship measures between 8.35 and 8.45mm, and the test sheet says which.
The second is broken grain. We hold the mills to 1% on 1121 raw and 1121 steam, because a broken grain in an extra long basmati is the one fault your customer sees the moment the bag is opened. If your market buys on price rather than on appearance we can work to 2%, but that is agreed before production, not discovered afterwards.
Third-party inspection at loading port is available through SGS, Cotecna, Eurofins or Bureau Veritas, covering quality, quantity and weight — so you can verify against the agreed specification before the container sails.

Crop Year and Ageing on 1121 Basmati Rice
Why Aged 1121 Cooks Better Than New Crop, and What It Costs
Why Buyers Choose 1121 Basmati Rice From TEFT Global
Four Things That Actually Differ Between One Supplier and the Next
Everyone selling 1121 basmati rice shows you the same photograph of long white grains. These are the four things underneath it that are not the same from one supplier to another.

A Length You Can Measure Yourself
We publish 8.30mm as the minimum on 1121 and the mill certifies it on the test sheet that travels with your batch. Take a sample out of the bag, measure a hundred grains and take the average. It should land where we said it would, and that is the whole test.

Pakistani Origin, From Named Mills
Almost everything ranking for 1121 basmati rice is India-origin. Ours is Pakistani, milled by groups across Punjab and Karachi that have been exporting basmati since the 1960s, several of them growing their own paddy on contract rather than buying it in.

One Crop Year in Every Batch
Mixed crop years of 1121 cook unevenly and it is the fault most likely to reach your own customer. We ship one crop per batch, the test sheet names which one, and you are told at quotation whether you are being offered new crop or aged rather than after delivery.

Stock in Qatar, Containers Everywhere Else
A Qatar buyer takes 1121 by the pallet or the part load out of Al Wakra, in riyals, with nothing to clear and nothing to import. Everyone else gets a full container delivered to their port with the freight paid, or to the door in the markets where we hold clearance.
Who Buys 1121 Basmati Rice From Us
Six Kinds of Buyer, Six Different Specifications
1121 basmati rice moves through six channels and each one wants something different from the same grain: a different grade, a different bag and often a different crop year. Tell us which one you are and the quotation comes back against your specification rather than a list price.

Supermarkets and Hypermarkets
Retail shelves take 1121 raw and 1121 steam in 1kg to 20kg, usually printed. Aroma and grain length are what sell the bag off the shelf, so this is the channel where aged crop and a tight broken tolerance earn back what they cost you.

Distributors and Wholesalers
Full containers of 1121 basmati rice on a monthly or quarterly programme, in plain 25kg and 40kg bags for onward sale, with the specification and the price fixed for the run rather than renegotiated load by load every time stock runs down.

Hotels and Banqueting Kitchens
1121 steam is the banqueting grade, because it holds its shape across a service without giving up the aroma a guest actually notices. Consistency of grain length from delivery to delivery matters more here than the price per tonne does.

Restaurants and Caterers
Biryani, pulao and mandi kitchens buying 1121 basmati rice in 25kg and 40kg sacks, where the rice is the dish rather than the side, and a short grain or a broken bag is noticed by the customer before it is noticed in the kitchen.

Rice Packers and Own-Brand Owners
Packers running their own labels take 1121 basmati rice in bulk and repack at their end, or take it printed at origin. We do both, and we run our own retail brand, so nothing about an own-brand programme is unfamiliar ground for us.

Importers and Re-Exporters
Traders buying full containers of 1121 basmati rice for onward sale in their own market, with the certificate of conformity, the phytosanitary certificate and the fumigation paperwork their border asks for issued against the shipment.
Where We Supply 1121 Basmati Rice
Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the Gulf (GCC), Europe and North America
1121 basmati rice is a retail and hospitality grade wherever it lands, but the bag, the crop and the grade change from one market to the next. Here is where we supply it and what tends to be bought where.

Qatar & the Gulf (GCC)
We hold 1121 raw and 1121 steam at Al Wakra, so a Qatar buyer takes a pallet or a part load rather than a container, in riyals, with nothing to clear. The United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain take the same two grades in 20kg and 40kg through Jebel Ali, Shuwaikh, Sohar and Mina Salman, delivered to your port with the freight paid, or to your door where we hold clearance.

The Kingdom Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia is the largest basmati market in the world, and 1121 steam sits directly behind golden sella in it, moving through Jeddah, Dammam and Riyadh in 20kg, 40kg and printed retail bags. Saudi buyers specify grain length and whiteness harder than anyone else on this list, so quotations here go out against a certified test sheet rather than a description and a photograph.

The UK and Ireland
Britain and Ireland buy more Pakistani basmati by name than anywhere outside Asia, and it is raw and steam that fill the shelf rather than parboiled. Bags run 5kg, 10kg and 20kg, mostly printed. Pesticide residue limits are enforced hard, which is where Pakistani origin and a mill that grows its own paddy stops being a talking point and becomes the reason your container clears.

Continental Europe
The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Italy and Spain take 1121 basmati rice through Rotterdam and Antwerp for repacking and onward distribution, mostly in 20kg and 40kg plain bags. Residue limits are the same gate as the United Kingdom and the paperwork behind it is heavier, so every container travels with its own laboratory analysis certificate against the European limits.

North America
The United States and Canada buy 1121 raw and steam for retail bags and for the restaurant trade, shipped into New York, Montreal and Vancouver in 5kg, 10kg and 20kg printed retail bags. Rice going to the United States needs the mill registered with the FDA and a notice filed with them before the container arrives, and both of those are handled at our end rather than at yours.
1121 Basmati Rice Pack Sizes and Private Label
1kg on the Shelf to 50kg in the Kitchen, Plain or in Your Own Brand
Pack size decides more than it looks like it decides. It sets your price per kilo, whether one person can lift the bag, and how well the rice keeps once it has been opened. These are the four ways 1121 basmati rice leaves us.

Retail Packs and Pouches, 1kg to 5kg
1kg, 2kg and 5kg in printed laminate or woven PP for supermarket shelves and online grocery. This is where 1121 raw earns its premium, because the aroma and the grain length are exactly what the shopper is paying for and both are on show through the bag.

Household Packs, 10kg to 20kg
10kg and 20kg of 1121 in woven PP with a printed laminate face, the sizes a Gulf household actually buys and the ones Doha hypermarkets shelve most of. Handle and gusset are specified with you, because a 20kg bag that splits gets returned rather than repurchased.

Trade Sacks, 25kg to 50kg
25kg, 40kg and 50kg in plain woven PP or jute for kitchens, caterers and repackers, stitched or heat sealed at the mill. Bulk is where 1121 steam moves, and where getting the moisture right at the mill decides whether it is still good to open in month eight.

1121 Basmati Rice Under Your Own Brand
Your artwork printed at origin on any 1121 pack from 1kg to 50kg, or plain bags for you to repack at your end. Minimums vary by size and material. We run our own retail brand too, so we know what the mills will and will not print before you have spent on design.
1121 Basmati Rice Quality, Inspection and Certificate of Conformity
What We Check Before Your 1121 Ships
1121 basmati rice is the most expensive grade on this site, which makes it the one most worth mixing a cheaper rice into, and the one most worth checking. Every batch is tested at the mill before it loads and the test sheet travels with it. Here is what we check, what your border will ask for, and how you can check it yourself.
Four figures matter most on 1121 basmati rice, and they are the four we hold the mills to:

8.30mm minimum
Average grain length. 1121 is bought for its length, so we publish the figure the mill will certify rather than the one that sounds best.

95% pure 1121
Purity, checked lot by lot. 1121 costs more than the grades it gets blended with, which is precisely why it gets blended with them.

13% maximum
Moisture content. Above this the rice sweats in the bag and it is finished long before you have sold your way through the container.

1% broken
Broken grain. On an extra long basmati it is the fault your customer sees the second the bag opens, so it is the tightest number here.

Purity and Crop Are Where 1121 Goes Wrong
Three things decide whether a batch of 1121 basmati rice is good: that it is actually 1121, that it is one crop year, and that it was dried properly. Purity is the one you cannot see. 1121 sells at a premium over shorter basmati, so a few per cent of a cheaper variety blended in is invisible in the bag and obvious on the plate, because the short grains do not elongate with the rest of them.
We hold the mills to 95% pure 1121 and check it lot by lot against a reference sample, and we ship one crop year per batch with the crop named on the test sheet. In Qatar the stock is kept under cover at Birkat Al Awamer and rotated first in, first out.
The Certificate Your Country Asks For on 1121 Basmati Rice
Most Gulf markets want a certificate issued before the container sails, confirming the rice matches what you ordered. Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain each run their own version of it, under their own name and with their own appointed inspector. The United Kingdom, Europe, the United States and Canada do not use one — they check pesticide residues and health certification at the border instead, which is a different set of paperwork and a different lead time. We arrange whichever applies as part of the shipment. Tell us the destination country at enquiry and we will tell you which one you need and what it adds.
Independent Inspection Before It Sails
You do not have to take our word for the 1121 specification. SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas and Cotecna all work at Pakistani ports, and any of them can attend the loading, draw their own samples and issue their own report on quality, quantity and weight before the container leaves. You appoint them and you pay them, and that is the point: the report is written to you, not to us. Buyers taking a first container from us often do this once and then never again.
What Travels With Every Container of 1121 Basmati Rice
Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate, fumigation certificate, halal certificate and the mill’s certificate of analysis for your own 1121 batch. If your bank or your border wants a document that is not on that list, ask before the container is booked. Adding one afterwards means the rice waits at the port at your cost until it is sorted out, and that gets expensive quickly.
Our partner mills operate under internationally recognised food safety and quality management systems, and are active members of the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP), complying with Pakistan Standards & Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) requirements. The certificate for the mill behind your 1121 basmati rice is available on request.

Two Ways to Buy 1121 Basmati Rice From TEFT Global
From Our Stock in Qatar, or Delivered to Your Port or Door
There are two ways to buy 1121 basmati rice from us and they work quite differently. Which one applies to you depends only on where you are.

In Qatar: Bought From Our Stock, Nothing to Import
We import the 1121 basmati rice ourselves, clear it, register it with the Qatari authorities and hold it at Birkat Al Awamer. You buy out of that stock in riyals, by the pallet or the part load rather than by the container, and you never touch a customs entry, an import licence or a letter of credit. Deliveries into Doha and Al Wakra usually run the next working day once the order is confirmed.

Outside Qatar: Delivered to Your Port or Your Door
Full containers of 1121 basmati rice go to your destination port with the freight paid, and with the insurance covered too if you would rather it worked that way. You are the importer in your own market and you clear it at your end. In the countries where we hold our own clearance we import it and deliver to your door instead, so tell us the destination and we will say which one applies to you.
Ordering 1121 Basmati Rice: Five Things That Turn an Enquiry Into a Price
Send These and the Quotation Comes Back the Same Day
We answer every 1121 basmati rice enquiry within one business day. It comes back as a price rather than as a set of questions if it arrives with these five things in it.
Which Grade
1121 raw or 1121 steam. If you are not sure, tell us how the rice is cooked and how long it sits between the pot and the plate, and we will tell you which one it is and send samples of both to settle it.
New Crop or Aged
Aged 1121 cooks longer, smells stronger and costs more; new crop is cheaper and there is more of it about. Say which you want, or tell us what the finished bag has to retail at and we will say which one fits.
Pack Size, Printed or Plain
Anything from 1kg to 50kg of 1121 basmati rice, and whether the bag carries your artwork or leaves us plain. Printed bags are made at origin and add lead time, so this one moves the delivery date as well as the price per tonne.
Your Destination
The town or the port where you want the 1121, not just the country name. It decides the freight, whether we are quoting to your port or to your door, and which certificate your border is going to ask us to produce.
Volume and How Often
One container of 1121 basmati rice, or a repeat programme. A volume agreed in advance prices better than the same tonnage bought load by load, and it keeps the crop year the same delivery to delivery.
Request a 1121 Basmati Rice Sample

Check the Grain Before You Commit to a Container
Before placing an order you may want to check the rice yourself. We get that, and we are happy to arrange samples for commercial buyers.
Samples are available across all three 1121 grades. Tell us the grade,
how you plan to use it and where you are based, and we will confirm
availability.
Sample supply depends on mill stock at the time of
request.
1121 Basmati Rice: Buyer Questions
Nine Questions Buyers Ask Before Their First Order
These are the questions buyers ask us most often about 1121 basmati rice, from what the variety actually is to which grade to specify and which countries we ship it to. If yours is not here, ask us.
1121 basmati rice is an extra long grain basmati variety grown in Pakistan and India, and traded in Pakistan as Kainat 1121. Milled, the grain averages 8.30mm and up, the longest of any basmati in commercial production. Cooked, it comes out at roughly 20 to 22mm while staying slim and separate rather than softening. TEFT Global supplies Pakistani 1121 in raw, steam, golden sella, white sella (parboiled) grades.
Golden sella is the same 1121 grain, parboiled before milling: soaked, steamed under pressure and dried again with the husk still on. That part-cooks and hardens it and turns it amber. It survives bulk cooking and long holding far better and it keeps less of the aroma. Raw and steam are on this page. Golden sella, white sella and brown sella are on our 1121 golden sella basmati rice page.
Length and price, mostly. 1121 is the longest and the most expensive. 1509 basmati is close behind on length, costs less and cooks faster. Super kernel basmati rice is the traditional Pakistani grade at around 7.3mm, shorter but with a heavier aroma and a following of its own. We supply all three.
