A founder-led rice sourcing company
Built on Two Decades of Trade
TEFT Global began with a simple observation from someone who has spent his life in the business.
Our co-founder, Ali Ahmad, has spent over twenty years buying, selling and moving staple commodities. He built and ran his own trading company in Pakistan: Ali Ahmad & Sons, dealing in bulk staples across local and international markets. Twenty years that taught him one lesson above all others: trade is built on trust.
When he moved to Qatar, the opportunity was clear. The GCC imports the overwhelming majority of its food, and rice sits among its most important commodities, yet buyers consistently struggle to find sourcing partners who are reliable, consistent, and straightforward to deal with.
He founded TEFT Global to be that partner. That experience is the foundation of how we work today: direct relationships, certified supply, and a commitment to getting it right every time.
That background matters more than it might first appear. Rice sourcing for the GCC is not a simple transaction. Buyers need to know that quality will be consistent from shipment to shipment, that documentation will be complete and accurate, that delivery timelines will be met, and that when something needs resolving, there is a real person on the other end of the phone who will resolve it. These aren’t extraordinary requirements, but they are the ones most often unmet. TEFT Global was built specifically to meet them.
Our sourcing network covers premium Basmati varieties: including 1121 Basmati, Super Kernel and Super 515 — as well as long-grain rice varieties suited to wholesale, retail, hospitality and food-service requirements across Qatar and the wider GCC. Every supplier in our network is selected on the basis of product quality, certification standards, and the same value that underpins everything we do: the ability to deliver what they promise, when they promise it.

Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and their neighbours import the vast majority of their food supply, and rice sits consistently among the highest-volume commodities in that import mix. Documented Standards.
TEFT Global sources rice exclusively from established producers and exporters in Pakistan who operate under internationally recognised food safety and quality management standards.
Independent third-party inspection at the loading port is available through internationally recognised inspection bodies including SGS, Cotecna, Eurofins and Bureau Veritas (BVQI), ensuring compliance with importing country regulations on quality, quantity and weight.
All suppliers operate under the oversight of the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP) and comply with Pakistan Standards & Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) requirements.
